When to Call Your Doctor
Most colds do not require contacting a doctor, but you should call your doctor if:
- Your symptoms get worse
- Your symptoms last a long time
- You develop signs of a more serious problem such as:
- feeling sick to your stomach
- vomiting
- high fever
- chills
- chest pain
- coughing up thick, yellow-green mucus
